By using Nakama, you agree to these terms. They're written in plain English on purpose. Read them — they cover what you can do, what we can do, and what happens if either of us breaks the deal.
1. Who can use Nakama
You must be at least 16 years old. You must follow your local laws and our Community Guidelines. You may only have one account at a time, and you must not impersonate other people.
2. Friendship only — not dating
Nakama is a friendship app. Romantic, sexual, or dating-style behaviour is not allowed. Soliciting nudes, sending unsolicited flirty messages, or treating Nakama like a dating service will get your account permanently banned.
3. Community guidelines
- No harassment, hate speech, threats, or doxxing.
- No sexual content. Nakama is a clean space.
- No sharing of personal contact info (phone, address, socials) — for your safety.
- No spam, scams, or commercial solicitation.
- No piracy links, illegal streams, or copyright violations.
- No impersonation of other users, public figures, or staff.
Violations result in content removal, warnings, suspension, or permanent ban. Severe violations (sexual content involving minors, doxxing, threats of violence) result in immediate permanent bans and reports to law enforcement.
4. Your content
You own everything you post on Nakama. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content within the app so it can function. This license ends when you delete the content or your account.
You're responsible for what you post. Don't post anything you don't have the right to share.
5. Reports and moderation
Every report is reviewed by a real human moderator, typically within 24 hours. We may remove content or suspend accounts at our discretion to keep the community safe. We aim to be fair, but we will always err on the side of user safety.
6. Account termination
You can delete your account anytime from Settings → Account → Delete. We can suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or our guidelines, with or without notice depending on severity.
7. The app itself
Nakama is provided "as is." We work hard to keep the app reliable and secure, but we don't guarantee it'll be uninterrupted or bug-free. We may change features, add new ones, or retire old ones. The app is free, with no ads and no in-app payments — and we plan to keep it that way.
8. APK distribution
Nakama is distributed as a direct APK download for Android. You're responsible for ensuring your device permits installation from this source. We sign every release; do not install Nakama from any source other than nakama.app or our official channels.
9. Intellectual property
The Nakama name, logo, and app design belong to us. The app is for personal, non-commercial use only. Nakama is unaffiliated with any anime studio, publisher, or rights holder. Anime titles, characters, and quotes referenced inside the app are the property of their respective owners and are used solely for fan discussion.
10. Disclaimers and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nakama is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you've paid us — which, since the app is free, is zero.
11. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a material way, we'll notify you in-app and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes means you accept them. If you don't agree, stop using the app and delete your account.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction Nakama is incorporated in. Disputes will be resolved in those courts, unless your local consumer-protection law gives you the right to sue locally — in which case, that right wins.
